The AI platform Sift Lab aims to become a leader in the Nordics and Europe. In a funding round, venture firm Spintop and existing investor Fort Knox, along with new management Linda Hellström and Anna Sundin, martech veterans from among others CRM firm Kaplan, are investing.

The platform helps customers to both follow up and act on the right KPIs in real-time. This is achieved by uniquely bringing in large amounts of customer data visualized in predictive dashboards, which are then acted upon through personal recommendations to customers across all channels. To achieve the same results, one has previously needed several different solutions in data storage and analysis, as well as a larger data science team. The result is increased revenues in the range of 3-6% and reduced advertising costs by up to 30%, but most importantly, it allows for reorienting and working customer data-driven as a retailer or e-commerce company.

"We are focusing on rapid expansion through partnerships with leading consulting firms and technology platforms within data and martech, for example, Avensia and Voyado, as well as through clients who have the ambition to work data-driven, such as Nordic Nest, Byggmax, and Rusta," says Anna Sundin.

"Sift Lab's platform makes large customer data volumes easily accessible and helps companies steer their business based on the right KPIs. Anna and I have worked with this as consultants for many years for a number of large companies, we know how difficult and expensive it is to achieve a data-driven approach and a personalized customer journey in all channels. Sift Lab solves this problem in a completely unique way and we were very impressed when we saw what the tool can do," says Linda Hellström.

"We believe a lot in the product because it innovatively takes a holistic approach to data challenges and plays a key role in customers' businesses," says Finn Persson, founder and Partner at Spintop Ventures.

Sift Lab was founded in 2015 by, among others, Jakob Sjölander, Christian Persson, and Martin Rosvall, professor of computational physics at Umeå University, and today has 40+ clients. This is the company's seed round, with total investments of 17.9 MSEK. The company has a close collaboration with Umeå University, where a research team continuously ensures that the platform benefits from the latest in machine learning.
